Mission Statement
The Nixon Academy of Multimedia Arts Production Magnet mission is to nurture innovative and creative learners by providing an enriched and challenging curriculum with unique experiences in multimedia arts production which will empower students for the future.

Children come in unique packages, with different talents, interests and ways that they learn best. At Nixon Academy, the teachers and staff are committed to recognizing and to developing the potential in every child. Through the arts, the academic curriculum at Nixon’s Academy is enriched with opportunities for students to develop to their full potential and achieve success in school. Visual and performing arts has been an essential part of the school’s instructional program for over twenty years. Individual creativity is encouraged, historical relevance is examined, and cultural viewpoints are explored and celebrated. Students are engaged in various forms of artistic expression: band, vocal music, dance, drama, and public speaking.

JAM Sessions
Jaguar in Arts and Media (JAM) sessions is based upon the premise that all learners are unique having their own personal strengths and talents. JAM sessions provide opportunity to cultivate and explore a wide variety of student interests. Each JAM session culminates in a celebration of student accomplishments. The exhibition includes demonstrations, gallery displays, presentations, and performance.
